Reggie Meneses (E-RYT 500, YACEP) is an award-winning yoga instructor known for his humor and ability to make yoga accessible to everyone.
After experiencing chronic back pain issues decades ago, Reggie tried yoga since lifting weights and running were hurting his back and knees. Yoga's moving meditation has helped him heal his back, strengthen his knees, and maintain good health and well-being. He enjoys practicing sun salutations as well as any leg balancing postures.
Reggie completed yoga teacher training in 2001 and has been instructing ever since. He currently teaches a variety of vinyasa yoga ranging from energetic movement flows to alignment oriented styles. He serves as an Adjunct Yoga Instructor at George Mason University and as a yoga instructor at YogaSix studios and at the Fairfax County Government Center.
Reggie maintains a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) designation which recognizes him as an expert in one or more of Yoga Alliance's Educational Categories.
In his competitive years, Reggie represented the Mid-Atlantic Region as the Mid-Atlantic Men’s Yoga Asana Champion (2005) and the Virginia Men’s Yoga Asana Champion (2010) at the USA Yoga Competition held annually in the United States.
In his free time, Reggie enjoys reading, visiting the Fairfax County Animal Shelter, and walking the dogs of the manor, Patches, the 8 year old fluffy white Maltipoo, and Brownie, the 2 year old rusty, super-friendly Dachshund mix.
