Holly grew up on a farm in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, developing a deep connection to the land and processes of life. She continues to deepen that connection between self and place, as well as between mind, body, and soul through yoga. In addition to teaching yoga, she is currently receiving her master’s in plant and soil science at UVM.

Holly strives to teach from a place of honesty and compassion, creating the space to explore the practice of yoga together with curious and loving awareness. Ever since her first experience walking out of a yoga class with that inner glow, she has continued to explore the deepness and richness of yoga, or union, and aims to share these experiences with students.

Holly’s yoga practice always comes back to the awe and gratitude that she has for the incredible mystery and beauty of life. For Holly, yoga is a way to express this beauty and explore the mystery through intentional breath and movement. She strives to create the space to explore our bodies and minds with open and loving acceptance, playfulness, and to revel in the goodness within. Expect pranayama, meditation, creative asana flow with alignment cueing, yummy massage assists, and music that will take you deeper into your practice.

Holly received her 200 Hour RYTT with SchoolYoga Institute at the Mystical Yoga Farm in Guatemala in January 2016, exploring hatha and vinyasa yoga through a shamanic lens. She started a community yoga series in Jericho, VT to provide donation-based yoga open to all levels, and she currently teaches at Champlain College as well. She believes in the power of yoga to uplift and that it should be available to all humans.

When she is not on the mat or at school, you can find her on the slopes snowboarding, dancing to live music, making food with friends, tending to her plants, making art, going hiking, or just enjoying the sunshine.
