I was first introduced to yoga at a very early age by my mother. Watching her wake up early in the mornings to sit, stretch and breath left her (AND ME) feeling at peace. So, as I grew, so did my interest in yoga. In high school, I discovered an old VHS tape titled "Beginner Yoga." Remembering those mornings when I would see my mom practicing, I was inspired to begin practicing myself. Albeit a little challenging at first, I was instantly taken with the mental and spiritual benefits of yoga; even with the beginner practice. Fast forward to 2010 when I moved to Asheville, North Carolina. Here my life was changed forever. I began practicing yoga regularly at the age of 20; along with educating myself on the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of holistic health practices. I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Health and Wellness Promotion from the University of North Carolina at Asheville in 2013 and received her 250 hour Yoga Teacher certification through Asheville Community Yoga in 2015. My passion for holistic wellness education and my sacred connection with yoga guides each practice as I accompany students on a nurturing journey of self discovery.
