"Sometimes the best short cuts are actually taking the journey step-by-step, as there are no tricks and trades to the heart. There will be good days and bad days, but your mat will be your safe haven to explore possibilities and grow into a stronger you."
Nancy is your average girl, who is a mom of 2 boys, a working wife, and a gym-a-holic for many years. Between her love for food and fitness, something was still missing as she descended deeper into the next decade of her life. On a spiritual (but local) journey, Nancy ended up at a Corepower Yoga studio near home. In the next few months she found herself signing up for teacher training and unknowingly prepared herself to become the person she would never see herself to be. Nancy had been "shy" all her life--public speaking was her enemy #1.
She learned how Yoga was not only a great work-out for the body, but its calming effects on the mind was the most inspiring and empowering thing she has ever done and learned. Before you knew it, Nancy's passion to share Yoga not only overcame her fears of public speaking but she gained a healthier confidence for herself.
In addition to her 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher training from CorePower Yoga, Nancy has earned additional certifications in Yoga 4 Cancer (Y4C) under Tari Prinster and is Yin Yoga certified from Dancing Mind Yoga Studio in Falls Church, VA. She also has her Personal Trainer and Women's Fitness Specialist certification with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), as well as being Mat Pilates certified with Equinox and POP Pilates. Nancy enjoys fitness and fitness education, and is passionate about Yoga.
While she knows deep down that she's just a Fitness Instructor, she continues to keep her yoga practice going strong and she will never stop learning all things fitness and yoga-related.
Come join Nancy on your mat and we can all grow stronger together. Community is inspiring but having a fun and caring Fitness Instructor who loves Yoga is just another added bonus!
