Christine has been honing her intelligent movement framework for over a decade. She is A Forever Student of the mind and an ex-collegiate soccer player, for whom yoga offered, for the first time, a framework to safely integrate the physical/external and mental/internal. In 2014, while studying psychology, she was 200 RYT certified. She spent the next 10 years teaching hundreds of hours of classes and studying. Functional mobility, anatomy and physiology, biopsychology and neuroplasticity, consciousness and the psyche, somatic practices, yoga energetics and classical yoga rooted in Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine to name a few. In 2019 Christine completed a 300 hour advanced teacher training and met Katonah yoga, a syncretic Hatha yoga practice blending Taoist theory, geometry, metaphor and imagination. She’s been studying Katonah ever since. Christine is committed to the belief that yoga is more than just a physical practice. According to her, any external aspect of yoga is simply a means to guide you inward, because yoga “happens” on the inside. You can expect her to set up the conditions for you to have such an internal experience, in the hopes that the right environment will birth an insight about yourself that you can take off your mat and into your life. She holds both you and this practice in the highest regard.
Christine holds the following Yoga Alliance designations: E-RYT® 200, E-RYT® 500, YACEP®
