Donna Mueller is an osteopathic physician since 2007, who has been teaching yoga to clinical populations since 1998. She published the first article on "Yoga Therapy" in the American College of Sports Medicine's Health & Fitness Journal in 2002. 

She studied with Jimmy Barkan for many years, whom she did her first in-depth intensive training with, among other well-known Yoga teachers. Dr. Mueller was fortunate to travel the US in the 1990's and take in-person classes/training intensives with the likes of David Swenson, Judith Lasater, Patricia Walden, Erich Schiffmann, and Nischala Joy Devi as well as many other notable teachers. She found the variety of styles used by each of these teachers to be useful for different populations. Each of these teachers has impacted her own practice and teaching style. 

Dr. Mueller is aligned with the principles of health espoused by Dean Ornish, MD from her time working in Cardiac Rehab (late 1990's) and then in Cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic Florida in the early 2000's. She was blessed to sit at the feet of his Guru, Swami Satchidananda back in 2000. She also is blessed to consider Dr. Ornish a colleague of hers these days through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.

First certified as an RYT-200 in 2002, and is now ERYT-200 / RYT-500 / YACEP. She continues to practice and study yoga. During her second residency Dr. Mueller took a multi-year Yoga Therapy certification from the Yoga Life Institute and became a C-IAYT through the International Association of Yoga Therapists.

Dr. Mueller completed a fellowship/specialty residency in Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Med (O-NMM) and is certified as a Diplomate of the American College of Lifestyle Med. She uses with yogic exercise as a modality of fitness into her osteopathic philosophy in caring for her patients, friends, and family.

She launched an initiative to train yoga teachers during the COVID pandemic, in order to help the world cope with the distress brought on by the virus.
