Megan Smith-Hochheimer began her yoga teaching journey when she attended the 200-hour Hot Yoga Teacher Training program at Evolation in Tampa. She then studied with LeShan Barrios for her 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher certification (RYT 200). Her deep curiosity for all things anatomy and kinesiology-based guide her yoga practice in both the personal and professional sense.
Megan is a Certified Personal Trainer, which allows her to further study the way movement, breath, and the human body all interact. She teaches Mindful Eating techniques, and coaches healthy lifestyle modifications. In 2011, Megan sought to broaden her understanding of energetic anatomy and helping people through her work as a Level 3 Reiki Master.
Her love for helping people get comfortable in their body, mind, and spirit drives her yoga studies and deep interest in energetic anatomy. She is the mom of two little boys and one yoga studio. Megan opened Karma Yoga & Fitness, LLC in 2012 with her husband Nooie.
She teaches hot yoga, power yoga, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Partner Yoga, and offers private yoga sessions. Megan loves "figuring out" techniques for arm balances and inversions to make them accessible for everybody.
