I became a Certified Yoga Teacher (CYT 200) in 2014 through Nancy Ruby's YogaMotion Academy in Montana. I am a lifelong student of this integrated practice, and I am dedicated to creating safe and inclusive spaces for children, adolescents, and adults while exploring breath, forms, and yoga philosophy. I am also an emerging clinical social worker that integrates a trauma-informed and decolonization framework both in therapy and when facilitating yoga practice as an alternative medicine. I specialize in empowering survivors of trauma and historically marginalized groups. I seek to contribute to dismantling Westernized norms that perpetuate disconnection from ourselves and others. I find deep inspiration in Susanna Barkataki's book Embrace Yoga's Roots to promote social justice on and off the mat.
