Char is an experienced yoga teacher and trainer (E-RYT 500, RPYT, YACEP), a seasoned meditation and sound healing practitioner with over a decade of experience in teaching and facilitation. She combines trauma-informed, alignment-based yoga with evidence-based mindfulness and immersive sound therapy, offering transformative and accessible experiences.
Char’s movement background includes modalities rooted in dance, corrective exercise, movement & exercise science. Her 25+ year yoga practice is rooted in alignment-based Vinyasa, with influences from the Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Baptiste lineages, and the teachings of Desikachar. She holds multiple 200-hour yoga certifications, including those from YogaWorks, Hot Power Vinyasa + Hatha, and Yin styles. She’s also completed a 300-hour advanced training at the Down Under School of Yoga with Natasha Rizopoulos and other renowned Boston-based teachers. Plus, an 85-hour Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training with Om Births. Char also holds certificates in Yoga Nidra and Restorative Yoga with Jillian Pransky and other renowned restorative & yoga Nidra teachers.
In addition to yoga, Char is a trained meditation teacher, having studied with David Nichtern, a senior teacher in the Shambhala Buddhist lineage, and completed hundreds of hours of meditation training and teaching in various lineages, as well as extensive evidence-based training in mindfulness. She is also a certified Reiki Master Teacher and a Sound Healing Practitioner and trainer with over a decade of experience. She has completed over 2500 hours of training and facilitation in vibrational and therapeutic sound. Her signature 'Acoustic Sound Alchemy' events and multi-instrument meditations have touched thousands across New England, blending sacred instruments, intuitive guidance, and somatic practices for holistic restoration.
