i am mother, daughter, friend, teacher and student.

i do my best to work and play in equal parts.

i root to rise.

I believe that embodied spirituality is foundational to individual and collective health and a basic right of all beings. For this reason I am deeply committed to spiritual activism and social justice. next world commons is a non-profit dedicated to cultural shift by bringing restorative practices into schools and other organizations and institutions,  as well as ensuring that embodied spiritual practices are accessible for all.

I believe in the power of restorative practices to enable transformative dialogue that builds connection in beloved community and addresses difficult issues such as interpersonal conflict, systemic oppressions, and trauma.

I am a Yoga Alliance certified E-RYT 500 and YACEP. My formal training in yoga and ayurveda was completed at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health where I studied with honored teachers Dr. Scott Blossom, Dr. Rosy Mann, and Joseph Le Page among others. Most recently I completed the Magu advanced teacher training with Alex Auder in Philadelphia.

I have had the incredible experiences of learning about restorative justice and practices with Sonya Shah and the Ahimsa Collective, as well as with Kay Pranis at the Summer Peacebuilding Institute at Eastern Mennonite University. I hold a master's degree in social justice & women's spirituality, and am currently pursuing a doctorate in liberation psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies. My informal training continues daily, as I remain open to the continual learning of what it means to be an agent of sustainable and meaningful change.
